Is this wine in your eWibe Cellar? Offer it for saleThe wine in this vintage
Cool, even and classic in profile, 2019 produced fragrant, tense Barolos now considered among the most promising of the decade. Barolo Tre Tine 2019 conveys that purity: rose, violet, cherry, raspberry and fine spice on a sleek palate with dense, silky tannins and long, savoury persistence. Jancis Robinson gave it 17.5/20 and Antonio Galloni 95 points. The blend of different crus gives the wine an overall harmony that already makes it accessible, but the structure of the vintage suggests a few more years of rest to appreciate its full complexity.
The producer · Giuseppe Rinaldi
In the heart of the village of Barolo, the Giuseppe Rinaldi cellar is one of the sanctuaries of traditional Barolo. The family has made wine for generations, and it was Giuseppe Rinaldi, nicknamed "Citrico" for his sharp wit, who turned the estate into an international reference, stubbornly defending a classic style while many others chased barriques. Today his daughters Marta and Carlotta run the winery, following in the footsteps of their father, who passed away in 2018. The vineyards lie in some of the appellation's most celebrated crus: Brunate, Cannubi San Lorenzo, Ravera and Le Coste, joined more recently by Bussia in Monforte d'Alba. Brunate yields the flagship wine, while Tre Tine is a blend of several plots in the old Langhe tradition. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentations, long macerations and ageing in large oak casks are the rule. The result is transparent, perfumed, remarkably long-lived Barolo, among the most coveted by collectors worldwide.
