The wine in this vintage

Tre Tine is a blend of several vineyards, following the old Langhe custom of combining different crus to create a complete Barolo. In 2015, a warm and sunny year, this philosophy produced a wine of great harmony. Rinaldi's Barolo Tre Tine 2015 offers aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, rose, spice and a touch of citrus; the palate is supple and broad, yet supported by good freshness and fine tannins. Jancis Robinson gave it a convincing 18/20 and Robert Parker 95 points. This Barolo is already ready to give pleasure, yet it can still be kept for several years without losing its sparkle.

The producer · Giuseppe Rinaldi

In the heart of the village of Barolo, the Giuseppe Rinaldi cellar is one of the sanctuaries of traditional Barolo. The family has made wine for generations, and it was Giuseppe Rinaldi, nicknamed "Citrico" for his sharp wit, who turned the estate into an international reference, stubbornly defending a classic style while many others chased barriques. Today his daughters Marta and Carlotta run the winery, following in the footsteps of their father, who passed away in 2018. The vineyards lie in some of the appellation's most celebrated crus: Brunate, Cannubi San Lorenzo, Ravera and Le Coste, joined more recently by Bussia in Monforte d'Alba. Brunate yields the flagship wine, while Tre Tine is a blend of several plots in the old Langhe tradition. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentations, long macerations and ageing in large oak casks are the rule. The result is transparent, perfumed, remarkably long-lived Barolo, among the most coveted by collectors worldwide.
