Every bottle inspected, one by one
Bottles come only from producers, official distributors and certified merchants, never from private collections or auction purchases. On arrival in the vault, each one goes through our checks.
Three checks
- 1 Cases and packaging Original cases still sealed with their straps stay closed until you ask to split them: the seal adds to their value. If you wish, you can split them at any time at no cost, and the bottles are sold and shipped individually.
- 2 Label, capsule and glass For single bottles we check the front and back labels, the tissue wrapping, the capsule and the glass.
- 3 Fill level, colour and cork We check the fill level, the colour of the wine and any sign of seepage from the cork.
Traceability
A code for every bottle
Once through the checks, every bottle or original wooden case (OWC) is labelled with an alphanumeric code linking it to the buyer's eWibe Cellar. From then on it stays in our vaults until its owner asks for delivery, which is why the Market only lists bottles already in eWibe's care.
