The wine

Y d'Yquem is a dry Bordeaux Blanc from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, the proportions varying from vintage to vintage. The Sauvignon is picked before the Sauternes harvest and the Sémillon just before noble rot sets in.

Tasting notes

Pink grapefruit, passion fruit, white peach and white flowers. The palate is full and fresh, with lively acidity, a Sémillon richness and a long finish.

Château d'Yquem

Château d'Yquem is the renowned Sauternes estate. Under the Y (Ygrec) label it makes a dry white from the same plots as the great sweet wine, only in selected vintages; the first was 1959.
